Walk By Faith Not By Sight
So we’ve been talking about gratitude off and on all year and while it’s always a great topic and one we need to continue to be intentional about, I want to shift gears a little bit. Why? Well, because I want to talk about something else, like faith! I’ve been having to lean on my faith a lot lately and it’s in the forefront of my mind. (And I’m in the book of Mark)I’ve been watching a lot of news lately and it seems to me that we live in a world that won’t take anything or anyone for what it is unless they have proof. It’s how our culture has evolved. If we don’t have facts about something then it simply can’t be true or exist. So we have this world that fumbles along searching for proof and theories to back up what’s around them. Pretty lame I think. “for we walk by faith, not by sight.”2 Corinthians 5:7But we Christians are set for a higher calling, we are living by faith and not by sight. Reminds me of the story when Jesus calmed the seas crashing on the fishermen in the book of Mark. Jesus asked them, “why are you so afraid, don’t you have faith?” I like this story because I can imagine Jesus like a relief pitcher coming into save a game saying, “I got this boys!” And he takes care of everything and closes it down. Does your life seem like a never ending cascade of stormy seas? Does it seem like the promises of God are nowhere close to being fulfilled? Take heart, and have faith in God. Do not limit your vision to the horizon of your life here on earth, but look beyond the raging seas. Look up with faith to see things the way God sees them. When you have faith, you can see beyond your circumstances. How’s you faith today? Be Nice. Grace Wins.

The Most Expensive Gift
Grace. What is it exactly? Paul says we can't earn God's favor by works. Righteousness comes through faith. Grace is the most expensive gift, given freely to the one who puts his faith in Jesus.

Not As the World Gives
Can we have peace when our world is turned upside down? The world's peace is sketchy. Jesus offers a different kind, built on God Himself, that thrives in the storm.

He's Not Finished
Are you living in growth mode with Christ? None of us are going to get there in this life, and that's okay. God has more patience than we do, and He's not finished with us yet.
