What's Yours to Carry

2 min readGalatians 6:5

You ever feel like you have such a huge load or responsibility you find yourself ducking it or delegating it to someone else? I certainly do.

But getting someone else to do them doesn't change the fact that you're responsible for them. When you take up the responsibility that's in front of you instead of pawning it off, God's grace can help you tackle that list.

Look, I get it. Life is unfair most of the time in this wicked, ridiculous world we live in. But God is just.

I always get to choose how to respond to life's curve balls and ridiculousness. And for that, I am held responsible by God. I may not be able to change the way people treat me or what happens in my life, but I most definitely can change the way I respond.

I am responsible to God for my response.

We resort to playing the blame-game when things don't go our way. We have, ever since the Garden of Eden. Adam blamed Eve. Eve blamed the serpent. But we cannot dodge our responsibility. We will all give an account.

As children of God, let's choose to be more responsible today. I need to. How about you?

As Paul said:

"For each will have to bear his own load."
