Finding Gratitude in Dark Times
Wow, we are surly living in a crazy time right now. Can’t help but to see all the fear and anxiety all around us. And yet, the troubles of everyday life are still present and we have to juggle both. It can be a lot because when stress, fear, anxiety, or depression take hold in our lives we can lose sight of all of the good around us. It’s there too, we just have to try and see it. And yet, we’re reminded through Scripture that we should thank God no matter our circumstances. We don’t have to like our circumstances. We don’t have to be thankful for our circumstances. But, we can’t lose sight of God’s goodness and generosity towards us in difficult times. Look man, no matter how dark life gets, there is always something to be thankful for. It might take a lot of thinking and searching to find what those things are, but they’re there. Make it a habit to take time every day to think of these things. Expressing gratitude can help bring some hope and light to dark times. In fact, studies have shown that expressing gratitude increases happiness and decreases depression and anxiety over time. What are you grateful for today? Take time to thank God for that. (Today I’m thankful for my dog Emma, she’s 2 today ❤️)“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”1 Thessalonians 5:18 Be Nice, Grace Wins

Find Him in the Ordinary
We get excited about big blessings, but His blessings are everywhere if we'll just look. The little chats. The slight smile. Even the dogs that need us. All of it is praiseworthy.

Like a Father's Arm
Today is short and sweet because God's love is simple. His love endures forever. I felt it yesterday at treatment, like a father's arm around a son. I am humbled with gratitude.

Nothing Compares
Much of what we're grateful for are things of this world. But in light of what we have in Christ, nothing compares. Nothing this world offers comes close to a personal relationship with Jesus.
