The Hope That Is In You
What are you really into? What do you spend most your time thinking and talking about? Most that know me would say that I’m really into racing motocross and action sports. But is that what they will say when I’m gone? I hope not. I hope I’m remembered as a man who also talked about his love of Jesus and his salvation. I may need to work on that more...but I can hope. “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,”1 Peter 3:15 “THE HOPE THAT IS IN YOU”You see, I want for people to see the hope in me. The hope that is Jesus. The hope that no matter what they’re going through, with Jesus anything is possible. When John and Peter were commanded to stop talking about Jesus, they replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:19-20 Who can you tell of your hope today? Who can you share the Holy Spirit with?I hope I just did...Peace,

Attraction, Not Promotion
How exactly are we an effective witness? Like a branch drawing life from the vine, we grow so the fruit we bear points back to Jesus. Attraction, not promotion.

Street Cred
Our trials build credibility in our testimony, street cred in Christ. You wouldn't take flying lessons from someone who's never been in the cockpit. Paul wrote about standing firm from a prison cell.

Doers, Not Just Hearers
Many people walk away from church because they think Christians are hypocrites. Hypocritical moments happen, but a hypocritical lifestyle is a problem. Let's be doers, not just hearers.
