Are You a CEO Christian?
Are you a “CEO”? I’m talking about a “Christmas and Easter Only” Christian. You see, it’s easy to fall into to the trap of only talking about our love of Christ at Christmas and Easter but that are we talking about the rest together year?Let’s take a minute and think about what we are always “talking about”while we’re at it…If you’re like most people, and I assume you are, you’re talking about work, kids, your round of golf, relationships, etc. In fact, I bet there are a few subjects that we just don’t stop talking about because we love them so much. For me these days, it’s flying and sometimes cancer. Although I try not to talk about the cancer much. I genuinely love flying and sharing with others, it’s a passion and I can’t wait to get in the air again. But let’s stop for a second and consider something. Are these “things” really the most important things in our lives? I’m mean, I’m pretty confident that an airplane didn’t save my soul from sin and promise me eternity...did your golf, hunting trips, kids or work do that? I seriously doubt it. “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,”1 Peter 3:15 I’m pretty sure you get my point now and think we need to be locked and loaded and excited to share our story with others. I feel like we should be so excited that it’s the most important topic we can talk about. So why don’t we?My guess is maybe it’s not “cool” or accepted in Pop culture to talk about Jesus. (I have seen signs of hope lately though) Well, I can tell you this, I’m going to talk about him and I’m going to share my story. It’s the testimony God made just for me and He has made it clear that He wants us to go and make disciples of others. So here is my challenge to you. It’s a two part challenge. First, reflect on your own salvation and think about how you can tell your story. Second, think about who you know that needs to hear it and go tell them. Not sure if you’ve noticed, but the world needs ‘em some Jesus…Be nice. Grace Wins. FMJ
