Your Story to Tell
Just got back from the Rockies. What a trip. Got to spend time with some old friends I hadn't seen in a while, and made a few new ones along the way. There's something about sitting around a fire or a table with people, just listening to their stories, that gets you thinking.
As I listened to old friends catch me up on their lives, and heard new friends share pieces of theirs, I kept thinking about how much our stories matter. Not just the funny ones or the hard ones, but the ones about how God has worked in our lives. It got me thinking about sharing our love of Jesus, and our own story, with the people around us.
"And Jesus answered them, 'Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.'"
Luke 5:31-32
God sent His only Son, Jesus, to Earth for a primary purpose: to give us new life. Jesus put it plainly: "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repent."
Christ came so sinners like you and I could have new life through our repentance and His forgiveness. Our lives are forever changed when we repent and seek His forgiveness.
Christ's mission is also our mission. We are called not to minister to the righteous, but rather to those who are lost and in need of forgiveness.
If you have sincerely repented of your sins, and God has forgiven you, then you have a story to tell to those who need repentance. Your life change can create the same change in the life of another.
Who do you know that needs to repent and receive God's forgiveness? How can your story of God's forgiveness help someone else come to repentance?
It's good to be home.
Be Nice. Grace Wins.

The Only Bible They'll Read
If someone followed you around all day, would they find Jesus? Not church, not rules, not your favorite preacher, would your life lead them to Jesus? You might be the only Bible some people read.

Selfless
Every screen tells us to love self, focus on self, better self. Jesus says the opposite. Deny self. When there's more of God, you're Selfless.
