Non-anxious presence means staying peaceful when everyone else is losing it. Jesus slept through a storm and fed thousands unbothered. That's the peace worth chasing, the kind that comes from Him.

You are not defined by your mistakes. God works all things together for good, our problems, hardships, addictions, and grief. He doesn't need goodness to do us good. He makes beauty from ashes.

Your habits, good or bad, are not who you are. There is no condemnation for those in Christ. An heir inherits all that came before, in Christ we own freedom, it's our right and our God-given legacy.

A Clean Heart
We all need reconnection with God and people. Without it, we numb the pain with something else. David's prayer for a clean heart shows us the way through. Ask God for help with what triggers you.

Be Still and Know
Be still and know that I am God. Even the word Selah in this psalm is a call to pause. Stop trying to figure everything out on your own. He is our refuge and our strength.

We may never see the results of the seeds we plant, but that doesn't mean they don't matter. Faith the size of a mustard seed moves mountains. Commit your work to the Lord and trust the process.

More Than Enough
Jesus doesn't need the sharpest tool in the shed. Two fish and five loaves, a shepherd's stick, whatever you've got, is more than enough. The Lord specializes in turning failures into successes.

If God is for us, who can be against us? A jealous God asks for our faithfulness in return, and gives us a friend who sticks closer than a brother. If God is on our side, we're in the majority.

A street child carrying his baby brother said it best: he ain't heavy, he's my brother. Bear one another's burdens. A gentle word or a small lift of the load restores on many levels.

No hero in the Bible ever set out to be one. Mary, David, Abraham, they just did what was in front of them. Walk humbly with your God. That's the whole thing, isn't it?

Seat belts, helmets, parachutes, they don't restrict us, they let us fully enjoy what we're doing. The same is true with Jesus. More dangerous than any risk we take is living life without Him.

Life can feel like shoveling sand with a pitchfork, one problem after another. But God works all things together for good. The only way out of the trenches of pain is through Him.

When you tell lies, you're not just lying to others, you're lying to yourself, and lying to God. Jesus called lying Satan's native language. Let your love for God be accompanied by a love for truth.

Standing apart means you never get to stand with someone. Christ offers a new lifestyle, the vagrant faith, having everything and owning nothing. That's something you can buy into, at no charge.
